Ed Helms’ tooth has been the most recent target for searching the actor since his appearance in the Hangover.  In my opinion, Ed Helms singing the Oompa Loompa song when Dwight quits Dunder Mifflin is by far the all-time funniest cut away interview in The Office history.

Ed Helms plays the Ivy League grad, Andy Bernard.  The last man standing from the Stanford merger, Andy appears to be a mediocre salesman at best.  From the get-go he has seemed to be in heated competition with the Scranton branch’s top salesman, Dwight Schrute.

In order to cover up an accounting mistake made by secret lover, Angela, Dwight hand delivers her late reports to the corporate office two hours away making him late for work.

Initially, the Ed Helms character, Andy busts Dwight with a pretty funny line.  “Hey Dwight, pass the tardy sauce.”  Then later in this episode puts the bag in Michael’s ear that Dwight may have attempted to betray the regional manager for a second time.

This initiates Michael to check up on Dwight’s story and pins him in a corner for an explanation.  Fearful that the rest of the office will know about the secret romance, Angela pleads with Dwight about not telling the truth.  Being put between a rock and a hard place, (that’s what she said), Dwight decides to publicly tender his resignation.
