The Office Season 3 DVD Box Set

The Office season 3
Season three premiered on September 21, 2006, and ended on May 17, 2007. The hit NBC series featured 25 episodes, including two hour-long editions, and guest directors such as J.J. Abrams (creator of the series Lost), Joss Whedon (creator of Firefly) and Harold Ramis.
The season marked the move of main character Jim Halpert from Scranton to Stamford, and also introduced Rashida Jones as Karen Filippelli, and Ed Helms as Andy Bernard (both members of Dunder Mifflin Stamford) as recurring characters.

A little festivity goes a long way when Kelly invites everyone to a Diwali party, and Andy, Jim and Karen decide to mix a little alcohol with their number crunching.
7 "Branch Closing"
Bad news travels fast when Jan informs Michael that Scranton branch is closing, and most of the employees look forward to their post-Dunder Mifflin lives.
8 "The Merger"
A new office merger brings old friends back together, but Michael’s “welcome” style alarms some of the transferred employees.
9 "The Convict"
When Michael discovers there’s an ex-convict on staff, he goes out of his way to make the employees realize that being in prison is not at all like working at Bunder Mifflin.

It’s a time for joy and goodwill toward others, but the staff is feeling none of it as Michael deals with a broken heart and Angela and Pam create rival Christmas parties.
12 "Back from Vacation"
Vacation mode ends abruptly when Michael accidentally circulates a photo of him and Jan together, and Karen and Jim put Pam in the middle of their first fight.
13/14 "Traveling Salesmen" "The Return"

Michael puts himself in charge of the entertainment at Phyllis’ shower and hires a stripper for the men and Ben Franklin for the ladies.
16 "Phyllis's Wedding"
The bride regrets assigning an important task to Michael, and Pam realizes that Phillis has “borrowed” many of her wedding day ideas.
17 "Business School"
Michael is delighted when Ryan asks him to be a guest speaker in his business class, but he soon realizes that going back to school is more difficult than he thought.
18 "Cocktails"
Business and pleasure collide at the CFO’s party, where Michael and Jan go public with their relationship, and Jim learns more about Karen.

Andy returns from anger management training as Michael and Dwight educate the staff about dangers in the workplace.
21 "Product Recall"
When a shipment of paper with an obscene watermark is distributed, the staff rallies to help the customer service department handle the backlash.
22 "Women's Appreciation"
Phyllis is flashed on her way into work, and Michael tries to help by taking the women on a special day trip while Dwight and Andy team up to find the perpetrator.
23 "Beach Games"
After learning that he’s being considered for a position in Corporate, Michael turns a day at the beach into competitions as a way to choose his successor.

Description
Fill your Inbox with hilarious moments from The Office Season Three in this four-disc collection that's crammed with extensive bonus features and all 22 episodes of the 2006 Primetime Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Comedy Series! Steve Carell is back in his Golden Globe-winning role as earnest but clueless boss Michael Scott, who can't help but contribute his own irreverent commentary to the daily happenings at the Scranton branch of the Dunder Mifflin paper company. As the staff deals with potential office closures, mergers, romances, and advancement, Michael's always there to say all the wrong things at all the right times. Including five supersized episodes and over three hours of deleted scenes, The Office Season Three is packed with classic moments from the show that TIME magazine praises for "satirizing the culture of coffee, cubicles and Chili's with heart and laser precision."
After a shaky first season of finding its footing, and a second season of establishing itself as one of the funniest shows on TV, the third season of The Office finds the show in its strongest form yet, thanks in large part to the addition of some new characters and stronger plotlines centered on office romances. A corporate merger brings the Stamford staff to the Scranton office of Dunder-Mifflin a quarter of the way through the season giving a nice boost to the season's arc of story lines, especially the addition of Andy (Ed Helms, another Daily Show alum in a role that seems custom made for him) who serves as yet another foil to Dwight (Rainn Wilson) in his unending fight for Michael's approval. As the season begins, the focus is more on Michael (Steve Carell) and his unique "leadership" style in the Scranton office. "A good boss gruntles the disgruntled," and despite his best intentions, he proceeds to somehow screw it up, as in the opening episode, "Gay Witch Hunt," in which he accidentally outs a gay employee. In the second episode, "The Convention," Michael tries to get the party started at the Mid-Market Office Supply Convention ("fun jeans"), and ends up revealing his insecurity about Jim's (John Krasinski) decision to move to Stamford. It leads up to "The Coup," where Dwight meets with Michael's Boss Jan (Melora Hardin) in a misguided attempt to take control of the office. The merger of the two offices into the Scranton location provides the fuel needed to continue the Jim and Pam (Jenna Fischer) subplot as Jim returns with his new girlfriend, Karen (Rashida Jones) who also transferred, and with Pam no longer engaged to Roy, the tension among them increases significantly. Other major plot points this season include: Dwight shows his true feelings for Angela in an excellent climax to one of the funniest subplots on the show; Michael negotiates a raise after learning he barely makes more than his subordinates; new office suck-up Andy is forced into anger management classes; and finally, in what may be the most bizarre company retreat in history, a day at the beach ends with Pam revealing her true feelings for Jim in front of the entire office. The season wraps up in unpredictable fashion when Karen, Michael, and Jim all travel to headquarters to interview for the same position. The strength of this season just continues to solidify The Office's place as the preeminent satire of today's cubicle culture. --Daniel Vancini

Reviews
I'm so late to this amazing party, I happened to see Episodes 2 to 6 of Season 3 one night on TBS. What is this, I wondered? I went out and got Season 2 and 3 (I still have to see Season 1, 4, and subs) so I could enjoy the show in order. Each and every character is so well-drawn. Having spent my entire working life in an office (I'm 53 now), the premise of this show is near and dear to my heart. There are so many great stories that we all have of office life, and this show is like a whirlwind of laughter and fun and rings so true. Michael and Jan are amazingly good, Dwight, Angela, Toby, the guys in the warehouse, its just a ball to observe and laugh with and at them. And Jim and Pam are priceless. Office attractions, now that some of us are old enough to look back on them, are an amazing part of life. The very end of Season 2 was just electric, and to see Pam's beautiful face at the very end of Season 3's last show is just transcendent. She is, without question, portrayed so well by Jenna Fischer, and John Krasinski is equally good as Jim, that I feel a part of their world. I'm already worried that I'll finish seeing all the Seasons -- and then what? I just don't want the party to end.
In the third season, you see the writers of THE OFFICE slowly start to run out of ideas for humour. Instead, they try to hook you with soap opera. And they do a pretty good job of it. The show is still funny - often enough to make it a watchable comedy - but it becomes less and less so. Unfortunately, the show is sometimes too stupid to be funny.
The description said new and when I received the DVD in the mail there was no plastic wrapping around the DVD's and the inside holders of 2 DVD's were broken. I did return this item.
My husband ordered another season The Office and still got it before me, but I still received it within the shipping period they described. It was in great condition, no complaints.
Good ideas, good stories and good actors. Question: can there be more? As long as I do not know, I'll watch and love "The Office". The addiction grows with every season - so I'm on level three right know. Good feeling.
