That’s What She Said T-Shirt
This is by far the funniest rebuttal to most remarks that seem harmless at first but when added with a “That’s what she said” at the tail end just makes it, I don’t know, dirty or something. Now you can proudly display that message on your very own that’s what she said t shirt.
This is clearly the most versatile joke in the world. According to the Urban Dictionary, it is a phrase that is used to turn a simple comment into a sexual joke. There are different difficulties in constructing this correctly. A simpler example would be: “…it’s so hard.” “That’s what she said,” but a more difficult version would be: “…every time I pull it out I almost break my back.” “That’s what she said.”
Week in and week out we listen in as the Regional Manager of Dunder Mifflin, Michael Scott tries to work in the TWSS on each episode of The Office. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. In earlier episodes, he was stifled by one-time lover, Jan Levinson when he was presented with an opportunity to sputter the phrase then uncontrollably laugh at himself.
This “joke” has been around for quite a while but only resurrected in the 2004 premiere of the series. The popularity of The Office TWSS has made it necessary to print the well known and accepted phrase on t-shirts. Don’t wait; put one on your back today! That’s what she said.
